The intention to choose
“The chief beauty about time
is that you cannot waste it in advance.
The next year, the next day, the next hour are lying ready for you,
as perfect, as unspoiled,
as if you had never wasted or misapplied
a single moment in all your life.
You can turn over a new leaf every hour
if you choose.”
― Arnold Bennett
This turning of a new leaf makes itself apparent in every sunrise, everything that is untouched like a shore where waves just rolled over or a covering of snow.
Imagine you can walk there, into the sunrise, making footprints in the sand or in the snow. Imagine you walk into the light, into a new beginning.
We can choose such a moment every minute, and we can let go of regrets because nothing is wasted, nothing is imperfect. There is perfection in every moment no matter of the past.
There’s only intention to choose anew, to walk where no one has walked before.
